Sheppy’s Cider Farm Shop, Taunton

Bray’s cider uses traditional methods and the apples are sourced within a 5-mile radius of the farm in Somerset. A range of ciders are crafted, from traditional farmhouse to sparkling Elderflower, all pressed and bottled on the farm by a small team of husband, wife, family and friends.

Heck’s Cider Farm, Street

The Hecks family have been making traditional farmhouse cider in Somerset for six generations, since 1841.
The farm shop in Street sells a wide selection of farmhouse and special ciders. You’ll find home-made apple cider vinegar, pickles, chutneys, eggs, mustards, jams, marmalades and honey. Plus, a range of locally packed and produced Cheddar cheese, fruit, vegetables and much more.

Rich’s Cider are a family run business producing traditional farmhouse cider and farm pressed apple juice, with locally harvested Somerset apples.
Visit their newly opened Farm Shop packed with hand selected, local Somerset products. From the Butchery Meats from Pyne’s of Somerset, to fresh bread from Winnie’s Bakery and a large selection of cider (of course!) and apple juice.
There is also a restaurant which serves locally produced, freshly cooked food, daily in the open plan kitchen. Here they aim to provide you with a ‘True Taste of Somerset’ as they support local farmers and producers.
You can also book a tour and get the chance to take in the orchards, get up close and personal with the enormous working oak vats, and end the tour with a guided tasting of the full Rich’s Cider product range at the tasting bar with the knowledgeable tour guides.

North Perrott Fruit Farm Shop is well stocked with their home-grown vegetables and freshly pressed juices. The farm shop also showcases produce from neighbouring farmers and producers in the local area. The addition of a coffeee shop, small plant nursery and a 24 hour vending machine selling Holy Cow Organic milk has been popular with locals.
Every autumn they have an apple celebration weekend, this year on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th October 2024. Made even more famous after featuring on Channel 5’s programme “Somerset – Wonder of the Westcountry”, this celebration it’s a great family day out. Harry’s Cider Farm, Langport

Harry’s Cider is an award winning artisan cider made from 100% juice, crafted by cidermakers Harry Fry and son Toby on their family farm in Somerset. Lye’s Cross Farm is home to The Alvis family, dairy farmers and award-winning cheese makers. As well as dairy cows there is a herd of beef cattle supplying top quality meat to their farm shop.

Buffalicious Farm Shop, nr Yeovil
Where: Higher Oakley Farm, Chilthorne Domer, Yeovil, Somerset, BA22 8LS
This family, water buffalo farm produces ethical, sustainable food. The rich creamy milk produced by the herd is used to make award-winning mozzarella, and even lotions and soap.
Their farm shop sells raw water buffalo milk, mozzarella and bocconcini (mini mozzarella) balls, buffalo yoghurt, water buffalo milk ice cream (lots of different flavours), and buffalo milk soap, cream and lotion. You’ll also find other (non-buffalo milk) cheeses such as cheddar.

Kimber’s Farm Shop, nr Wincanton

The Kimber family have been farming the Blackmore Vale for 350 years. The traditional farm shop and café sell their own Angus beef, lamb, hogget and mutton, Gloucester old spot pork and seasonal poultry, as well as raw milk from the dairy herd, plus lots of other local produce.

Puxton Park Farm Shop and Butcher, Hewish

Situated right next to the adventure park, Puxton Farm Shop and Butchers offers a superb range of fresh produce and locally produced products. The award-winning butchery counter is stocked with their very own farm-fresh, zero food-miles, lamb and beef (grass-fed and free-range).

A family run farm for three generations and established in 1949, they produce the finest grass fed meats from their Red Rubies, a rare breed pedigree North Devon cattle.
The family’s farm shop sells their sustainably reared, grass-fed and pedigree Beef, Pork and Chicken. The farm shop also sells freshly baked artisan bread, pastries, seasonal fruit and vegetables; and serves everything from coffee to sweets treats, and sandwiches to fresh pasta. You can also buy fresh organic whole milk, also available for refill.
As a sidenote, if cars are your thing, the farmer, Charlie, is a fan of classic and super cars and you’ll find a regular car meet (“the Sunday Service”) being held every Sunday morning, weather permitting.

The Jeffery Family took over the running of Farrington’s 400-acre working farm in the Somerset village of Farrington Gurney in 1989. They opened their farm shop a couple of years later, selling the best homegrown organic vegetables and homemade produce. Over the year they grow over 80 varieties of seasonal vegetables, all of which are available to buy from their award-winning farm shop. You’ll also find homemade jams, chutneys, cakes, traybakes, pies and quiches, as well as their own range of ready meals using great ingredients. Discover an extensive range of cheeses and homemade goodies on their Deli counter, as well as locally-sourced, high quality meat & poultry on the Butchery counter.
For the kids there’s an indoor soft play with climbing equipment, slides and roleplay houses in the playbarn, plus the Playbarn Cafe serving homemade food. In the summer months the kids can play in the straw pool and farm park where they can say hello to the animals.

Generations of the Walrond family have been farming their 90-acre Glebe Farm near Langport, for over 200 years and converted to organic production in 1999.

You’ll discover organic pork, beef and lamb, home made sausages (including a gluten-free range) and burgers, dry cured organic bacon and hams, plus seasonal fresh organic vegetables picked daily to supply the shop.
