Welcome to Somerset Family Adventures!

We are a family of five living in the beautiful county of Somerset, in the South West (not far from Bristol).

Our aim is to encourage other families to get outside, explore and have fun, by sharing our outdoor adventures.

Our family walks and bike rides really took off during lockdown as we realised, like so many, how much we took our freedom to roam for granted and how important our outdoor life is. We have lots of awesome family-friendly walking routes on our page which have been tested by all five of us.

For Christmas 2020 we bought a paddleboard which is now one of our favourite summer activities. In 2021 we set up our social media accounts to document our adventures. You can find us on Instagram and Facebook, sharing our favourite pictures and posts, so why not follow us there too!

I am Claire, wife, and Mum to our 3 girls (11, 10 and 7). I’m the photographer and documenter of our adventures.

As well as walking, paddle boarding and cycling, we also enjoy camping, days out, travelling and we love a family-friendly festival. We will share these on our blog and social media accounts.
