This year, there’s decorations under the theme of Christmas Past from 2nd December 2024 to 2nd January 2025 across Tyntesfield Estate. Large sculptural trees will fill the orangery and the chapel courtyard will be transformed into a Dickensian street market complete with festive refreshments. Younger visitors can ride on the carousel in front of Tyntesfield House, take part in a festive trail through the house, and explore the estate with our Christmas reindeer trail.
The reindeer have escaped from Tyntesfield stables and are running riot across the estate! Father Christmas needs your help to track them down so he can round them up to pull his sleigh. Using a map of the locations they were last seen, explore the Tyntesfield estate and see if you can find all 9 reindeer.
The reindeer have been lovingly made by the resident green woodworkers; the Somerset Bodgers, a group of skilled craftspeople who offer courses and workshops in this historic craft.
