Top Tips for visiting a Pumpkin Patch
- This is an outdoor event so dress for the weather. Wellies are a good idea because the field can get muddy.
- Wear long trousers and sleeves if you can. Most of the pumpkin patches are not sprayed so there will be insects and weeds.
- The pumpkin stalks are prickly so wearing gloves may be a good idea.
- Most pumpkin patches won’t be suitable for wheelchairs or buggys, check before you book/turn up.
- Not all pumpkin patches allow dogs, check before you bring them. Also, some patches may require a ticket for them!
- Many farms sell the pumpkins by size or weight, check before you let the kids loose!
- Always double check the pumpkin patch website before you leave for opening times. Also, some require booking a time slot online beforehand.
